Car Hire Notes
Extra Hours:
All hirers will be allowed a two-hour period of grace. Hirers exceeding this will pay any extra charges directly at public tariff rate.
Extension of Rental:
To be charged directly to client at public tariff rate.
Theft Protection Insurance:
Hirer is responsible for the full cost of the car in the event of theft of the car; hirer is also responsible for the replacement and / or repair of any car parts (i.e. radio, wheels, glass, etc) as a result of theft or attempted theft of the car.
Hirer can indemnify himself/herself against loss due to the theft of attempted theft of the vehicle, subject to the excess payments set out below by taking out Theft Protection Insurance (T.P.I.) at a cost of € 4.00 per day, payable locally.
Personal Accident Insurance:
All cars are insured for third party liability, excluding the driver of the hired car who is not insured in respect of injuries resulting from an accident involving the hired car. County Car Rental can provide Personal Accident Insurance to cover injuries received while driving at a cost of €4.00 per day.

Excess Waiver Cover:
Incidental Liability Cover (I.L.C.) is available on request and subject of approval of the car rental.
Renter Qualification:
The hirer and all extra drivers must have held a full licence (which must be produced at time of rental) for a minimum of three years for groups A-H.
Renter MUST be over 25 years and under 69 years.
Some speeding endorsements are acceptable, but each case will be considered individually.
Age Restrictions:
Groups K to L The hirer must have a minimum of 7 years driving experience and be over 28 years of age
Please note
On collection of car the renter MUST produce:
- A voucher which clearly states (possibly in English) what the customer is entitled to
- Driving Licence
- Credit Card, Which is to be used for security imprint
- At Dublin airport a local airport tax of €20.00 is charged locally
Petrol:
The car is rented with a full tank of petrol: clients are asked to return it full. Clients will pay the petrol charges by credit card at commencement of rental. If the car is not returned full, the amount owing will be debited from their credit card.
Miscellaneous:
All extras, plus insurance, must be paid for at time of rental to County Car Rental. All major credit cards are accepted. If paying by any means other than a credit card, a deposit equivalent to the insurance excess will also be required.
Baby Seats:
Available at €20.00 per rental with a €60.00 refundable deposit.
