terms and conditions of booking
Please read carefully - your statutory rights are not affected.
1) Purchasing Packages for the Edinburgh Military Tattoo
Full payment must be made at the time of booking, we cannot hold packages. Only exception is bookings made prior to 3rd September 2007 where deposit of £40.00 is payable with balance due in January.
2) Dispatch of Packages
2.1) Cashel Travel will dispatch packages by the 7th July (or immediately after receiving tickets from the Edinburgh Military Tattoo, whichever is later). Cashel Travel will despatch tickets by the following means:
UK Addresses by Royal Mail’s Recorded Signed For™ service (next day delivery with most First Class items).
Europe and all other Destinations by Royal Mail’s International Signed For™ Service. (Target delivery is within three working days to Western Europe, four working days to Eastern Europe and five working days for the rest of the world.) A signature will be required from you on receipt for all packages.
2.2) It is your responsibility to advise us if you are not able to receive a delivery in early July and arrange alternative method of collection.
2.3) In the event that postal delivery is not possible your package will be available for pick up from the Cashel Travel office (26 Palmerston Place, Edinburgh EH12 5AL) on the day of the performance or the day prior if not a weekday. You must confirm in writing your request to collect the tickets in person along with the date you intend to do so. Cashel Travel’s office hours are Monday – Friday 09.00 – 17.30.
2.4) Cashel Travel can hand deliver packages to hotels or guest houses in Edinburgh for you, there is a charge of £30.00 for this service. We will ask you to confirm a date and approximate time for delivery. Cashel Travel takes no responsibility for packages after hand delivery. To confirm delivery we collect a signature from the hotel or guest house.
2.5) Lost tickets – in the event of a package being lost by the postal service (i.e. the package has not been signed for) Cashel Travel will arrange for tickets to be reissued on the day of performance and will arrange delivery to you. If you lose your package after postal receipt, Cashel Travel can arrange for tickets to be reissued on the day of performance at a cost of £20.00 but only at the managers discretion and only when a satisfactory explanation is given. Regrettably in the event of tickets being lost or stolen they cannot be replaced.
PLEASE NOTE: The Edinburgh Military Tattoo will only be reissue tickets on the day of performance and will only reissue to the original purchaser (Cashel Travel).
2.6) We ask you to check your documents and tickets on receipt and advise us immediately of any errors or missing documentation.
3) If you cancel your package
Prior to ticket issue (7th July) –£50.00 cancellation charge per person - we will refund the balance of your booking to you.
8th July to 25th July – if the package is returned to us we will attempt to resell it on your behalf. If this is successful we will charge £75.00 cancellation charge per person and refund the balance of your booking to you. If we are not successful we will make no refund.
26th July onwards – We make no refunds for cancellations after this date.
Cashel Travel advises all purchasers to take suitable travel insurance.
4) Force Majeure
4.1) In the event of Cashel Travel not receiving the expected ticket allocation from The Edinburgh Military Tattoo for any reason we will immediately refund the full amount of your booking to you.
4.2) In the event of any part of the performance being cancelled through inclement weather, tickets are NOT valid for any other performance and money will not be refunded. No performance has ever been cancelled.
5) Accommodation and Tours
5.1 Cashel Travel acts as agents for the hotels and guest houses it offers and cannot be held responsible for any problems with service or accommodation which may arise. Cashel Travel make all reasonable checks to ensure that the accommodation is of the highest standard.
5.2 Cashel Travel reserves the right to move clients to a similar or superior accommodation if circumstances dictate.
