Edinburgh Incentive
Incentives in Edinburgh
The capital of Scotland is Edinburgh. It is situated on the East Coast and is joined to the ancient port of Leith. It has a population of around 450,000. The centre of Edinburgh divides into a medieval Old Town and an eighteenth century New Town. Both of these are designated World Heritage sites in acknowledgement of their architectural splendour and the city with its famous Castle and elegant skyline is fabled for its beauty. It is one of Europe’s pre-eminent financial centres, being the headquarters of several major banks, insurance companies and investment houses. It is known variously as the Athens of the North – not just for its beauty but also as a seat of learning – and as the Festival City as it now holds twelve major international arts festivals every year including the flagship Edinburgh International Festival.
