Operations Executive, French Speaker

Start date - immediate

Salary scale £13,000 - £19,000

5 days per week Monday to Friday flexi-time

Based in our head office in Edinburgh

Holidays 28 days per annum including public holidays

Reporting to the Operations Manager

 

Organised person to assist the Operations Manager and Senior Operations Executive with booking hotels and other suppliers, customer service and account management. Experience in another similar tour company is an advantage. Fluency in French essential ideally a native speaker. Must be able to work to deadlines and be very quick and accurate. 

 

This exciting and important role will involve the following duties:

  • Quoting and operating  FIT requests for tour companies
  • Devising new and interesting itineraries
  • Keeping detailed records of all quotations, which can involve database maintenance.
  • Attend company meetings, and briefings on a regular basis.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest developments in the marketplace.
  • Ensure that operators receive a service that meets their expectations and that quotations for services are presented accurately and on time.
  • Operating groups that are confirmed including entering into the system, checking availability, booking hotels, lunches, visits etc.
  • Ensure that operators receive a service that meets their expectations and that quotations for services are presented accurately and on time.

Qualifications required:

  • Good knowledge of the UK and Ireland
  • Fluency in French 
  • Knowledge of another language would be a plus, ideally German
  • Outgoing personality
  • Excellent written English
  • Ability to work under pressure
